Embracing Hygge Vibes This Summer

Even though it's scorching summer outside, I've been thinking about embracing hygge vibes lately. Yeah, I know - typically it's a winter thing, but hear me out. Those Danes really know what they're doing with this whole cozy contentment concept, and I reckon we could use a bit of that chill energy year-round. So, here's my take on bringing some hygge into your summer days.

1) Keep it Simple

Alright, so hygge isn't just about being at home, but that's where I like to start. It's all about those little rituals that bring joy, you know? Maybe for you, it's brewing up some iced jasmine green tea in a fancy pot. Or heck, maybe it's just chilling on your porch with a cold one. The point is to slow down and savour the moment.

2) Remember Who You Are

Look, we all get caught up in the daily grind sometimes. Summer's a perfect time to hit pause and reconnect with yourself. Are you the type who recharges by being social, or do you need some alone time? No judgment either way - just make sure...

How to Overcome the Toxicity of Hustle Culture

The alarms goes off, you're awake and you know that you are in full blown burnout, and need to find out how to overcome the toxicity of hustle culture.

Hustle culture is the new normal. It's that nagging voice telling you to work harder, stay later, work nonstop, and relentlessly chase the next goal. In the world of hustle culture, busyness and exhaustion equal status. Taking breaks or setting healthy boundaries means you don't want success badly enough.

But this cult of toxic hustle leads to burnout, not sustainable achievement. As hustle culture becomes more mainstream, rates of stress, anxiety, depression and self-harm rise. Sadly, glorifying extremes often prevails over safeguarding health or sanity.

Warning Signs You've Bought into Toxic Hustle Culture:

  • You frequently brag about being busy, overworked, tired or how little sleep you got
  • You feel guilty if you take time to relax or have fun
  • You’re never satisfied because there’s always more to do
  • ...

12 Universal Laws and how to use them

When it comes to the 12 Universal Laws, most people have heard about the law of attraction, following reading or watching the Secret, but what about the laws of vibration, cause and effect, compensation and rhythm?

That's right, there are actually 12 universal laws, and getting familiar with the other ones can not only unlock more Universal guidance and achieve transformation, but also help the manifestation and the law of attraction along.

Here is more about all 12 Universal Laws

Law of Divine Oneness

This profound law states that we are all interconnected parts of the same great universal presence. There is no separation between anything in existence; rather we are united in an intricate web of being.

Understanding this truth fosters greater compassion as we realize that no matter how different we may seem on the surface, at a spiritual level we share divinity and oneness. Recognizing our connection to all living beings promotes unity, harmony and care for our world.

Summer Serenity Guided Visualisation

If your work/ life blend over the summer is leaving you lacking in serenity, here is a summer serenity guided visualisation to focus your mind, find relaxation and carve out a little piece of serene haven during the summer months.

Find a quiet and comfortable space where you won't be disturbed. Sit or lie down in a relaxed position, close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths to centre yourself.

Imagine yourself in a beautiful natural setting that embodies the essence of summer. Picture a serene beach, a lush forest, a tranquil meadow, or any place that makes you feel at peace. Notice the colours, smells, and sounds of this environment.

Feel the warmth of the sun gently touching your skin, bringing a sense of comfort and relaxation. As the sun's rays penetrate your body, visualise them carrying away any tension or stress, leaving you feeling light and rejuvenated.

Imagine the rhythm of the ocean waves as you breathe. Inhale slowly and deeply, just like a wave reaching the...

Embracing the Summer Work-Life Blend!

Let's talk about something refreshing and liberating today – the concept of "Work-Life Blend"!

Work-Life Balance vs. Work-Life Blend

We've all heard about the elusive "work-life balance," but let's be real – achieving that perfect equilibrium between work and personal life can feel like chasing unicorns! That's why, this summer, I propose we shift our focus to a more fluid and harmonious approach – the "Work-Life Blend"!

Embrace Flexibility & Integration

With the work-life blend, we're empowering ourselves to integrate our work and personal lives more seamlessly. Instead of rigidly separating the two, let's embrace flexibility! Whether it's working from a beachside cafe, scheduling team meetings during a picnic in the park , or catching up on emails from our hammocks – let's make work enjoyable, no matter the location!

Prioritize Self-Care & Mental Well-being

Our well-being is essential – always and forever! By blending work and life, we can...

Using the Sturgeon Supermoon in coaching

Working with celestial events like the Blue Sturgeon Supermoon can be a powerful and symbolic way to enhance coaching practices and personal growth.

Here's a guide on how to harness the energy of the August 2023 Blue Sturgeon Supermoon to release and let go of what you've outgrown from a coaching perspective:

1.Understand the significance of the Blue Sturgeon Supermoon:

The Supermoon is a full moon that appears larger and brighter in the sky due to its close proximity to Earth. The Blue Sturgeon Supermoon is a rare occurrence and signifies amplified energies for transformation, release, and renewal. This is an ideal time to focus on letting go of what no longer serves you and making space for positive change.

2. Reflect on what you've outgrown:

As a coach, encourage your clients to take some time for introspection. Reflect on their journey so far and identify areas of their lives or beliefs that are holding them back or are no longer in alignment with their true selves. This might...

Self-Hypnosis for Entrepreneurs

As a businesswoman for over a decade, I have seen and experienced first-hand the struggles that women have when pursuing their goals, especially when they don’t focus on the inner work of being an entrepreneur. I have the honour of working with entrepreneurs from all stages of new startups to executive women planning their exit strategy, to floral designers in residence at a top London Hotel.

The Inner Job of Being

For many years hypnosis was seen as something for woo-woo hippy types or as a trick that was done on stage where people danced around like a chicken. However today, hypnosis has turned into a staple for many entrepreneurs and executives from everything to dealing with stress, building confidence to working through long-held limiting beliefs since childhood.

I focus on a mix of hypnotherapy and coaching to maximizing women’s effectiveness in business or careers and to help them overcome obstacles that are currently perceived in their way to achieving...

Are you panicking and pivoting in business?

The pivot panic and are you doing this in your business?  Pivot can be substituted for any word. If you don’t like the word you can define it as a decision, evolution, changing my mind, whatever you want. What happens when you made a decision, pivoted or changed. There can be this panic that sets in. It can be your decision or it can be someone else’s decision.

My story

I had experienced this two months before my wedding. I was made redundant from my role. Didn’t see it coming. My boss at the time was even coming to the wedding. So this was something that was not at all on my radar.

So 2 months before my wedding day I managed to keep my head up, walk out of that office, drove for a while and cried my eyes out. I called my husband, fiancé at the time, who was on his stag-do and told him I was made redundant. He was supportive and said it was all going to be fine. (he was going to be home later anyway so it was all good). It was decided, 2 months...

How to stop self-sabotaging

mindset self doubt Jul 18, 2022

We’re going to reconnect with what self-sabotage is as it relates to attachments or maybe when you've lost your mojo. Which is largely seeking out negative behaviour that causes you to be unhappy. I have spoken before about what the vessel of self-sabotage is. It’s tricksy and doesn’t go anywhere. Probably you have read the work vessel, you connected with it, it has connected with the word and it says ‘’oh we don’t have time to read this now, we’ll come back to it’’. That is classic self-sabotage vessel feeding behaviour. So if you think now that you don’t have time to read this post, HELL YES YOU HAVE!

How to Stop self-sabotaging

STOP

This important step really is what it says on the tin, STOP.

Once you are aware that a decision is being driven by the vessel, then you need to stop to consider what is really going on.  Your vessel will try to keep going on autopilot, like a zombie heading to the fridge for food...

How to deal with Refunds

With my clients I have in the wedding industry, refunds were generally unheard of. Photographers, videographers, planners and even coaches and consultants. Refunds were generally not part of the business model. When someone booked there was generally no need for a refund, unless something happened of someone was unhappy.

Refund culture has changed

Covid changed the model. It increased cancellations where people in their complete right had options for refunds. People in these industries generally didn’t hold on to the money to refund because of their cash flow in the past 15-20 years, they never had to have such a substantial amount to refund clients.

In the wedding industry people needed a refund because they couldn’t move to a new date, since 2 years worth of weddings were happening in 1 year. Contractually there were many different reasons why the refund was valid and had to be upheld by the supplier.

Also with coaches and clients who planned...
