If your work/ life blend over the summer is leaving you lacking in serenity, here is a summer serenity guided visualisation to focus your mind, find relaxation and carve out a little piece of serene haven during the summer months.
Find a quiet and comfortable space where you won't be disturbed. Sit or lie down in a relaxed position, close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths to centre yourself.
Imagine yourself in a beautiful natural setting that embodies the essence of summer. Picture a serene beach, a lush forest, a tranquil meadow, or any place that makes you feel at peace. Notice the colours, smells, and sounds of this environment.
Feel the warmth of the sun gently touching your skin, bringing a sense of comfort and relaxation. As the sun's rays penetrate your body, visualise them carrying away any tension or stress, leaving you feeling light and rejuvenated.
Imagine the rhythm of the ocean waves as you breathe. Inhale slowly and deeply, just like a wave reaching the...
Let's talk about something refreshing and liberating today – the concept of "Work-Life Blend"!
We've all heard about the elusive "work-life balance," but let's be real – achieving that perfect equilibrium between work and personal life can feel like chasing unicorns! That's why, this summer, I propose we shift our focus to a more fluid and harmonious approach – the "Work-Life Blend"!
With the work-life blend, we're empowering ourselves to integrate our work and personal lives more seamlessly. Instead of rigidly separating the two, let's embrace flexibility! Whether it's working from a beachside cafe, scheduling team meetings during a picnic in the park , or catching up on emails from our hammocks – let's make work enjoyable, no matter the location!
Our well-being is essential – always and forever! By blending work and life, we can...
Working with celestial events like the Blue Sturgeon Supermoon can be a powerful and symbolic way to enhance coaching practices and personal growth.
Here's a guide on how to harness the energy of the August 2023 Blue Sturgeon Supermoon to release and let go of what you've outgrown from a coaching perspective:
The Supermoon is a full moon that appears larger and brighter in the sky due to its close proximity to Earth. The Blue Sturgeon Supermoon is a rare occurrence and signifies amplified energies for transformation, release, and renewal. This is an ideal time to focus on letting go of what no longer serves you and making space for positive change.
As a coach, encourage your clients to take some time for introspection. Reflect on their journey so far and identify areas of their lives or beliefs that are holding them back or are no longer in alignment with their true selves. This might...
As a businesswoman for over a decade, I have seen and experienced first-hand the struggles that women have when pursuing their goals, especially when they don’t focus on the inner work of being an entrepreneur. I have the honour of working with entrepreneurs from all stages of new startups to executive women planning their exit strategy, to floral designers in residence at a top London Hotel.
The Inner Job of Being
For many years hypnosis was seen as something for woo-woo hippy types or as a trick that was done on stage where people danced around like a chicken. However today, hypnosis has turned into a staple for many entrepreneurs and executives from everything to dealing with stress, building confidence to working through long-held limiting beliefs since childhood.
I focus on a mix of hypnotherapy and coaching to maximizing women’s effectiveness in business or careers and to help them overcome obstacles that are currently perceived in their way to achieving...
The pivot panic and are you doing this in your business? Pivot can be substituted for any word. If you don’t like the word you can define it as a decision, evolution, changing my mind, whatever you want. What happens when you made a decision, pivoted or changed. There can be this panic that sets in. It can be your decision or it can be someone else’s decision.
I had experienced this two months before my wedding. I was made redundant from my role. Didn’t see it coming. My boss at the time was even coming to the wedding. So this was something that was not at all on my radar.
So 2 months before my wedding day I managed to keep my head up, walk out of that office, drove for a while and cried my eyes out. I called my husband, fiancé at the time, who was on his stag-do and told him I was made redundant. He was supportive and said it was all going to be fine. (he was going to be home later anyway so it was all good). It was decided, 2 months...
We’re going to reconnect with what self-sabotage is as it relates to attachments or maybe when you've lost your mojo. Which is largely seeking out negative behaviour that causes you to be unhappy. I have spoken before about what the vessel of self-sabotage is. It’s tricksy and doesn’t go anywhere. Probably you have read the work vessel, you connected with it, it has connected with the word and it says ‘’oh we don’t have time to read this now, we’ll come back to it’’. That is classic self-sabotage vessel feeding behaviour. So if you think now that you don’t have time to read this post, HELL YES YOU HAVE!
This important step really is what it says on the tin, STOP.
Once you are aware that a decision is being driven by the vessel, then you need to stop to consider what is really going on. Your vessel will try to keep going on autopilot, like a zombie heading to the fridge for food...
With my clients I have in the wedding industry, refunds were generally unheard of. Photographers, videographers, planners and even coaches and consultants. Refunds were generally not part of the business model. When someone booked there was generally no need for a refund, unless something happened of someone was unhappy.
Covid changed the model. It increased cancellations where people in their complete right had options for refunds. People in these industries generally didn’t hold on to the money to refund because of their cash flow in the past 15-20 years, they never had to have such a substantial amount to refund clients.
In the wedding industry people needed a refund because they couldn’t move to a new date, since 2 years worth of weddings were happening in 1 year. Contractually there were many different reasons why the refund was valid and had to be upheld by the supplier.
Also with coaches and clients who planned...
What I love about helping entrepreneurs and business owners define their legacy, is that at any moment you don’t know where a conversation might go. You see as far as I’m concerned every human is looking to define their legacy, even if they don’t use that particular language right now, and you might not.
In this context, we are talking about legacy future, once our souls are no longer on this planet. Some are under the impression that legacy is only to be found in material circumstances. Some are carrying the presuppositions from family as to what a “legacy should” look like.
Some are only focusing on the external shifts that need to happen to create a future legacy, rather than shifting their own internal experience. And for some, which is where we are focusing on today, they are struggling to define their future legacy, from their present mindset and legacy.
Let me share with you a story from my upbringing as...
I’m having so many clients who feel like they lost their mojo. Do you feel like your drive is gone, you feel lethargic or flat? Do you have things to do on that never-ending to-do list but don’t have the drive to get them done? Why does mojo matter? Mojo is your drive, your enthusiasm, you drive to get stuff done and it does so consistently and persistently.
When we want to create legacies, a functional business and a high performing lifestyle, we need that motivation.
Have a check-in with yourself. Do you have an underlying health condition that impacts your motivation, do you have irregular breathing, do you have hormonal issues? Are there lifestyle factors going that are impacting your mojo? Do you have a lack of sleep? We use sleep deprivation as a form of torture. It is strategically used for a negative purpose. It shows you how important sleep is. How much deep sleep are you getting,...
This blogpost is all about struggling. When we are looking to achieve dreams and goals, whether in business or in life, we all have those days when we are struggling. For me there was a day when the tipping point led to me yelling to the Universe “Really?! I’m struggling here!!”
I was packing my bags for a year of adventure, slipped and grabbed one of the metal rail bars. Almost watching in slow motion, my entire wardrobe fell apart like a Rube Goldberg machine and ALL of the clothes were on the floor and me in the middle of the heap.
If we look at the bigger picture of what happened here, the chain of events that day: My struggle started with an email, What to do in the eye of the struggle hurricane, what was really going on, how to decide to be instead and what to do next, post struggle meltdown.
If I wind the clock back before I even started packing, I know that I went into that wardrobe in a mood. Let’s say not at my...
