Making Money Easily

When it comes to the topic of making money easily, I frequently encounter in my work that clients subconsciously do not want to do it. Your mind is the driver even when you don’t think when it’s in the driver’s seat. Why do we want to make it really hard for people to pay us? You think ‘’of course I want to make money easily Laura.’’

We can self-sabotage when it comes to making money easily.  We can make it really hard for people to pay us. So this blog post is about your subconscious mind with some conscious mind tips and tricks you can do to have some instant gratification now on implementing if you want to.

Reasons why you could be yourself holding back

Ancestral narratives

If you come from a long family line of hard workers, you might have an ancestral narrative that says that you need to be a hard worker too. Which turns into the belief that you need to work hard to earn money. And if you haven’t done enough hard work you...

Finishing 2021 Strong in business

Welcome to Finishing 2021 strong in business or crawling to the finish line.

Let’s dive in and ask the question – are you finishing the year strong or feeling like you are crawling to the finish line?

Or let’s do a quick reframe of the question – do you want to have an amazing 2022 or if you are reading this in the future, do you want to have an amazing next year?

I used to swim as a kid.  When I say swim, I trained 3 times a week and had my first ever coach.

I’ll never forget the wisdom that he taught me. You see I wasn’t and am not your typical swimmer.  I’m only just 5.5. now, and as a kid of about 13, I was 5 ft nothing.

I’m a curvy vixen and have been that way since I hit my teens.

So when I used to go to swimming competitions, when the swimmers are on the blocks, you look up and down to check out who else is competition.   And I didn’t look like competition.

And that’s ok. But I knew....

How instant gratification is killing legacy creation

It’s time to talk about instant gratification and the impact this is having on those who are seeking to create a legacy.

You may or may not know this about me, but in case you don’t, I love an underdog and especially the underdog when it comes to property.

My husband Mr P and I, are on our second full property renovation which is now completed, the home is sold and we are looking for what is our next project.

When you are looking at a property to renovate, it’s as much about unburdening yourself of your ego and your limitations and seeing the beauty of the masterpiece property within.

And when looking at property to renovate I get nervous, because it isn’t about the sale or profit.  It’s about creating something that could have a lasting impact on future families who give the home a new soul and memories.

Because of this when I look at a property, fear is always with me.

Fear if can we create the vision that I see in my mind.

The fear of...

How to Overcome Perfectionist Fantasies and Tomorrow Timelines

When it comes to reading the words “perfectionist fantasies” my long experience has shown me that 2 responses normally happen.

The nod, that somewhere in your stomach you know that this is something for you.  Or the “I’m curious” but it doesn’t land with you straight away.

So what are perfectionist fantasies?

Before we dive in here, let’s go back a stage to what is the problem with having perfectionist fantasies?  As such a perfectionist fantasy is a longed-for illusion that can keep you stuck in a negative benefit frustration cycle.

You believe that it is only your illusory perfect self who can accomplish goals, once perfection has been achieved.

Or you believe that only the perfect launch, perfect messaging, perfect USP, perfect copy, perfect audience build, perfect audience identification, perfect need qualify.. will lead to the results that you crave.

I have also seen this emerge with corporate clients and leadership...

Imposter Syndrome and Self doubt

It is very common for successful people to experience imposter syndrome and self-doubt,  including the likes of Tina Fey or Sheryl Sandberg, who have publically claimed at times they felt like a fraud.

A review article in the International Journey of Behavioural Science puts the figure at an estimated 70% of people who experience the imposter syndrome phenomenon at some point in their lives.

Know that you are not alone.

So if we know that it is common, the feelings of Imposter Syndrome  - know that it isn’t experiencing it that is the problem, it’s how we recognise and deal with it that has the biggest impact on our outcomes.

"Of all the judgements we pass in life,

none is more important than the judgement

we pass on ourselves."

Nathaniel Branden

How true is this?

We’ve talked before about ‘stories’ and how we have them for time, money and success.  Well, one of these life stories can be around our comparison of...

Employee vs Entrepreneur Mindset

business mindset Jul 14, 2021

This should come with a potential trigger warning as we are going to be diving into whether you are creating your dream life, complete with legacy building business, or if you are creating a job under the guise of being an entrepreneur.

This is physically how you set up your business which has the underpinning of employee vs entrepreneur mindset

Before we go any further I want to clarify that there is no good or bad here, not judgement that comes up, as long as you are fully aware and have consciously chosen how to run your business.

In my experience, you could be running an employee mindset whilst trying to scale your business which leads to frustration and burnout. If you are an entrepreneur struggling with burnout - I recommend reading & trying this self-hypnosis blog.

We are going to be looking through the lens of a mindset strategist and coach, to stop you if this is holding you back.

Let me ask you a couple of questions and scenarios, to see...

The Streisand Effect on Future Legacy

coaching mindset Jul 05, 2021

Back in 2003, the award-winning singer & actor Barbara Streisand was annoyed when a blurry photo of her Malibu home was published as part of the California Coastal Records Project.

Her annoyance manifested in her trying to suppress the photo. However, it had the opposite effect. It created a furore above and beyond what the original article had done. Meaning something that was obscure gained substantial attention.

When censorship backfires.

It has since been labelled as a social phenomenon by The Economist that occurs when we attempt to hide, remove or censor information. Sometimes it has the unintended consequence of amplifying it.

So what has this got to do with your future legacy?

Let me share with you a story from one of my clients about how the Streisand Effect showed up in her life.

My client was residing in the UK, having been born in Europe, raised in her home country and coming to the UK when she was a teenager.

She had educated...

How Writing your own Eulogy can Enable you to Live your Best Life Now

coaching legacy mindset Jun 29, 2021

Diving straight in today and talking about a topic that many find difficult: death.

You see in the western world death is scary. We can have trauma from the death of a loved one. And death is an uncontrollable event.

I’m not talking about the afterlife or next lives today, so any woo-woo avoiders; don’t worry.

What I am talking about is that if you want to live your best life, go to the end and a very specific part of the ending: your eulogy.

This is not a theory-based blog post today, this is a creative exercise that I’m going to encourage you to do. A note that this experience with clients can have a profound impact on people, with urgency and clarity.

So before we dive into the how, yes overachievers I’m going to make you wait a little longer, let’s talk about why.

We can live in the present day, using our past legacies to influence how we show up in the present-day version of ourselves. In society it can be about immediate gratification...
